My beloved blog has been, and will be, a little quiet… There’s a newly beloved on the scene… A baby!
Last week we celebrated the much longed for arrival of Baby Parker into the world! The last 9 months of adventures have all discreetly been carrying around our tiny human that we’ve waited such a long time for.
It was only when he landed on my chest last Thursday morning one week early that I actually let myself believe we’d finally done it!
With his arrival, our family is complete. He is our tiny, perfect, little miracle. We didn’t know it was possible to love someone so much or so quickly. He has totally stolen our hearts and we are smitten. He’s gorgeous and adorable! And far cuter than any of the cows at the end of the garden!
The blog is obviously going to take a back seat as I am in Mummy-mode now! Goodness knows what direction it will go in next! I hope that as a family we can look back fondly on our adventures using the blog. But for now and foremost is for us to have those life adventures together. And when I say adventures, I mean everything new in every day – it is one massive adventure! Of course, we still like our brand of luxury travel and I’m fairly sure Baby P does too since he’s been to rather a few fancy places in the last 39 weeks… It’s just they’ll be family friendly instead!
In time I will have thousands of words to share about our long and emotional journey… The sad bits in the past four years and the challenges and milestones as Baby P kept growing in my tummy, through to the jubilation that his arrival heralded. I might even tell you all about Baby P’s exciting arrival, although perhaps that’s in the ‘too much information’ category…
But for now life is simply about Baby P, Mr P and me – as the little man takes over our world.
I’d dreamed for so long that the day would come for us to start this adventure. We are forever grateful that it now has and I am excited by every ‘I can’t believe you are actually here’ moment that we’ll enjoy! There’s been too many to count already and that’s just in 7 days! We already can’t remember what life was like without him. Such a blessing.
