2015’s challenge – #take12trips

2014’s challenge was to take a photo a day for 365 days!  It was a real challenge, good to look back on now, but at times really frustrating!  An accountants life is not always the most exciting.  Thankfully I only took pictures of my cups of tea on a few occasions!

So for this years challenge I have found something that feels like it will be far more rewarding and enjoyable for me, and for Mr P who also stands to gain and enjoy!

#Take12Trips travel challenge

Take 12 trips in 12 months.  These trips don’t need to be overseas or long term.  A day trip to somewhere near home is still a trip. But over the next 12 months we will be taking 12 trips and telling you more about them!

This isn’t a new idea – I stumbled across the idea in some other bloggers 2014 ‘it’s a wrap’ style posts – On the Luce and Need Another Holiday.  They’ve sold it to me and I accept the challenge!  There is a Pinterest board set up for sharing ideas and experiences.

I haven’t got very far into planning our 2015 trips, there are some trips and treats booked, but on my count, I still have (at least) 9 more to arrange to meet this challenge!  I will keep you up to date with my adventures and plans!  I’m looking forward to using this new challenge as a chance to see more of what’s on my doorstep in day trips as well as investigating some mini-breaks this year too!

Let the #take12trips planning commence

Let the #take12trips planning commence

As you can see I have started to do a bit of a brain storm based on what normally happens when!  But who knows, it’s rare to have so little planned for the year ahead so  I’m looking forward to making the most of planning at least 9 more trips!!

Each month I will post about the trip taken and I’ll also let you know what is planned for the next month.  I’ve started brainstorming the rest of the year and hopefully we’ll have another memorable year of travel and exploring!

Welcome to Take 12 Trips! Sounds like you’ve made a good start on the planning too. I really enjoyed doing it last year so hope to carry it on into 2015 too.

I’ve seen quite a few bloggers taking up this challenge and I think it’s a great way of making us all get the most out of our free time – I love this brainstorm you’ve put together – I already feel like pencilling in a Christmas market too! Looking forward to see the remaining boxes fill up slowly. I also agree completely about day trips counting – I ended up with NYE off work and made one final day trip to a really pretty village in Kent so it’s always possible even at the last minute!

With such busy lives this is a great way of keeping at least a couple of days sacrosanct
