Project 365 – work dominated May!

May is not one of those months when I fit much in around work… Although looking back now I fitted in a bit, although I feel like perhaps I shouldn’t have now!  The last few days of May post sign-off have been heavy on early nights and getting up that little bit later than 6am for work!

All the photos are on flickr

As always with a month end sign off, the start of the month was the best opportunity to fit things in and also happily coincided with the best of the weather (I think, I didn’t see much of the 2nd half of the month to compare!)

We topped up our new found touring car interest with another day out courtesy of Quantel Bifold!  This time I got the opportunity to meet F1 driver Max Chiltern who had to clarify to me what type of car he drives (I didn’t expect him to say F1!!).

May was also a fairly social month through plans made long in advance – a thai take away with the girlies and then see further down, 2 lovely country weddings!

Mr P and I both spent a lot of time in London in May – normal for him, less so for me!  We happily found a new location for a glass of vino – at Waterloo station of all places, the Corney and Barrow chain has opened a cute little wine bar well above the hustle and bustle!  It actually became our ‘local’ for two fridays – the first occasion was because I kept having to send an SMS to say I was running later and later, so Mr P settled in!  They have the wine dispensers, see the 9th above, and these look fun – but I was in the frame of mind to not follow instructions and just go with step 1!

May continued to do things in 2’s (beyond the pub visit 2 consecutive fridays) – we had 2 lovely country weddings that were both totally different and Mr P also put up 2 blinds – plenty more windows to go too!

Another new discovery was that the Ping Pong menu is as good for dairy free as it is for a non-dietary challenged visitor!  I hadn’t been there for ages so it was a lovely surprise – as was the fact that it is so fast – I didn’t have time for a proper meal out before getting back to work this was great – a proper meal out but in 30mins!

End of the month a little quieter, although already ramping up again!  I had the chance to get back into the kitchen and do some baking – the cake was well enjoyed by friends that visited over the bank holiday weekend!  I then came across an RNLI challenge that I thought I would take up – #h2only – i.e. the only drink I have for 14 days from 27th May is water.  I’ve been through the caffeine withdrawal now (day 1 and 2 were terrible) and my energy is back!  Only 9 days to go as I write this!!!…

Haha I am through the awful bit and now water seems like the norm! Caffeine come down I hadn’t expected, I’d thought I’d miss a calming glass of wine, but I haven’t in the slightest!!

Good luck on your caffeine cleanse! I’m not a big coffee drinker, but know plenty who are and it sounds like this would be tough. Sounds like you had a great May. Mmmm wine 🙂

Caffeine-free. Yikes! Hope it’s gone well. 🙂 By the way, nicely done with the 365 project. These sorts of projects are actually much more difficult than they appear to be at first.

Still almost caffeine free as well, once you get rid of it from the diet it is easy!!! Almost half way through the year of photos, exhausting!!

Busy month! I could forgo alcohol for a bit but never caffeine. That would be a dangerous situation. Props!

Alcohol is definitely easier to stop, I had thought I would miss wine more, but I didn’t!!
